A good news to share. HYSS Eclub, has participated in the National Pushcart Challenge 2010 with the team called "The Drawer". The team consist of Chan Jian Shu Hayden, Tan Teng Fong Rebecca, Annabelle Woo Xue Qi, Felicia Teo Zi Yi, Khoo Li Ying and Tan Xin Yi. And we are proud to announce that we had won

We would like to thank all HuaYiians, staffs and teachers especially Mrs Toh Kiat Lian for her support and advice. Nevertheless, lets hope that Hua Yi Entrepreneur Club will continue to achieve better awards in the years to come.

Hello. I am going to post the duty roster for the Pushcart Competition. On the first day,

Girls will have to dressed up as angels:-
- white t-shirt
- white skirt
- white or pink shoes (no slippers allowed)

Boys will have to dressed up as elves:-

Entrepreneur Club Year End Camp

Dear Entrepreneur Club,

Please be reminded that there will be a year end camp held on the 18th November in School.

Please read the infomation below for the requirements and needs:

17 November!

Please note that the camp is postponed from 18 Nov to 17Nov.

Objectives
The objective of the year end camp is to instill a sense of belonging to all the club members and provide them a platform to increase their confidence in public speaking skills. Last but not least, to foster a greater bond within the club members and nurture the secondary one members in order to prepare them for competitions in future.

Duration
The duration of the day camp would be 7.30am to 7pm and report to IT resource room 2!

Groups’ allocation
The club of 30 members will be separated into groups of 5. They must always be with their groups. A group leader will be allocated, which is most likely a secondary one member, to take care of the group’s strength and to take charge of the group’s conduct.

Attire
All the club members must be in dark coloured shirt and to be changed into their CCA tees after the games.

Points system
Points will be rewarded through games. The points will be later converted into cash which is to be used during the purchase of ingredients for indoor cooking. Points will be distributed to each team according to your ranking in each game. Prizes are to be won by the end of the camp!

Hiiiiiiiiiiii! Its me again! Haha Did not post for a very long time. At first we are sending two teams to participate the Natiobal Pushcart Competition 2009 but the organisers say that each school can only send in one team.

The members in the team are:
- Hui Ting
- Miao Si
- Jun Ning
- Wei Ting
- Ming Ru
- De Bin

Congrats to them for being chosen to represent our school! I cannot participate as I joined last year. Haha. The six of them will have to go to Republic Polytechnic this friday from 8am to 5pm to attend the course.

Remember to bring your money according to how many photos you buy ($3 per photo) on this friday to Miao Si. But Miao Si will be away for the course on friday so she will not be in school. I think everyone can give her the photo money latest by this thursday. All members who have not paid for your CCA tees please also pass your money to Miao Si.

I am not sure if we have CCA this Friday. Either Hui Ting or I will be smsing the level managers to inform them. Thats all for now. Bye!

Entrepreneur Club Tee

Hi Entrepreneur Club,
This is the finalised design of the Tee. The shirts have already been send in for printing. At the meantime, for pupils who has not paid $10.70 to MiaoSi, our treasurer,and please do so by 18th September Friday. We seek your cooperation so that the shirts can be delievered into your hands in the shortest time possible.

Stated price:
Approximately $10.70
Due to the high resolution printing and the material used are better. Thus, it would not get damaged easily when abused or used widely over a period of time. The original price is %20.70, however, entrepreneur club subsidies $10.

Front Design:
This is the logo placed on the top right hand of the t-shirt. The word “Rector” is a translation of Leader in Latin, so as to signify that HuaYi Entrepreneur Club hopes to inculcate the idea of leadership as a theme for 2009 or 2010 in HYSS entrepreneur club. The excos had decided to take up the idea of having a theme which signifies the goal that every member in the club are promising CCA leaders to portray themselves as an entrepreneur to engage with the others. In addition is also enhances Huayi Entrepreneur club uniqueness as apart from other’s school, as more modernized and meaningful theme to leave others a better impression of HY Entrepreneur club) Leadership is also essential as one of the most important factors for entrepreneurship which the clubs hopes to groom and cultivate more aspiring and confident entrepreneurs in future endeavors.

*Latin and English words are used so as to signify the globalization of the world within one entrepreneur who would engage in.

At the bottom of the theme, the word “Imprenditore” is a direct translation to latin from the word Entrepreneur. With wings coupled at the sides, it symbolizes the soaring of HuaYi Entrepreneur Club in the years ahead.

At the side of the logo, it is the silhouette of the modern entrepreneur in the fast changing world, carry and briefcase and documents, portraying the professionalism to bring out as one of the factors to become a successful entrepreneur.

Main colours used in this logo are, blue and white. Colours used are contrasting, thus standing out in the dark background.

Back design
The back design of the t-shirt. The main colours used are lime green, blue and white. The silhouette of a teenager with one of the arms reaching out, symbolizes the aspirations of being an entrepreneur and to soar to greater heights in competitions and projects. Vectors are combined in the back designs as it brings out the modern and activeness of every entrepreneur, to enhance the uniqueness of the t-shirt design. An arrow pointing vertically signifies the soaring achievements of Entrepreneur Club currently and the time to come.

Sleeve design
Names of the owner of the shirt will be printed at the sleeve, as a personal identity for the entrepreneur members. Colors used are blue, as a contrast color to the black background. Embroidery of owner’s name will be printed at the sleeve, so as to sustain and restraint the wear and tear.

Hello! As the past few weeks we are having exams, I did not post. I will just update on just now meeting. Entrepreneur club will be sending 2 teams to participate the YES! competition organised by Singapore polytechnic.

These two teams are not chosen yet and will be chosen by next thursday. We will be having a meeting on next thursday 2pm probably at IT resource room 2. The meeting will be on next thursday as on next friday there is meet-the-parent session. So eclub members do put in your best efforts to write the business proposal!

The specific details of the competition I am not sure. I will post again when I have time. Bye!

Day 1 17th November!

For the first shift, which is 8.30am to 2.30pm, there will be buses to bring you all there. For the people in first shift, you all must reach school before 7am. There will not have any buses to bring the people in the first shift back to school so you all need to make your own transport from Toa Payoh HDB Hub.

For the second Shift, which is 2pm to 8pm, there will not be any buses at school to bring you all there so you all will have to make your own transport there. But there will be buses to bring you all back to school when the competition ends at night.

Day 2 18th November!

For the first shift is 8.30am to 1pm, other details such as the buses I am not very sure. So during your duty on 17 Nov ask the teacher-in-charge of your shift to confirm the details.

For the second shift it is 12.30pm to 4pm, other details I am not very sure either so ask your teacher-in-charge.

Hello! To all eclub members, on both competition days, it is compulsory to wear e-club CCA tees if you have and if you do not have, you will need to wear red shirts. Red shirts must be those shirts that we wear during National Day that type of red. Green tees are not allowed as it will be very confusing. As for the pants, we must wear dark colour jeans. Cannot wear sandles and any colour of shoes also can. But it will be better if the shoes have a bit of red colour on it.

So in total, Everyone must wear,
CCA tees or Red t-shirts,
dark colour pants,
Shoes cannot be sandles, a bit of red is better

Sorry for the late updates. Today I am posting some pictures which was taken during the secondary ones members are learning how to make the pom pom dolls and the photo frames. If we get into Youth For Causes competition, we are likely to sell the pom pom dolls, piggy banks and the photo frames.

This is the pom pom dolls made by secondary ones of our club! It was quite well done for the first attempt! It is not very clear as the pom pom dolls are placed in a plastic bag

We discussed about the business proposal before proceeding to teach the Sec 3 seniors (Boon Si, Hui Shan, Kah Yee) how to do pom pom dolls. Our club tee is out! it should be about $15 but we are looking into it if we can subsidize a bit from the club funds =) The graduates said the back logo is nicer if its the nature one. P.S. Coloring for the back logo a bit off, some white gaps should be red =P
